Upon the recommendation of someone commenting on this guide, I picked up a copy of Spock's World, and, man, did it ever blow me away!

How do I love this novel? Let me count the ways. It’s basic premise is that Vulcan is considering withdrawing from the Federation, thereby recalling all its resources and effectively isolating or exiling its population. But since they are such a civilized people, they decide to put humanity on trial first to prove that men are either 1) Imitative monkey-barbarians who need to be protected from the superiority of Vulcan influence, or 2) war-like imperial barbarians too depraved to be associated with. Sounds like fun, right? But what makes this book so truly fantastic is Dr. McCoy – and, no, I am not being prejudiced. He effectively pwns the entire Vulcan race, and he does so by being a lying, stealing, psychoanalytically manipulative bastard. :)

Alright, first off let me say Hello! ^_^ I'm new to the community and this is my first post here.

I am searching for a custom made, screen accurate, science division, third season, TOS uniform top. I have absolutely zero sewing skills, so making one myself is out of the question. I don't want to spend a large amount of money, I am trying to stay within a $100-$150 dollar budget. I've found two sites: http://biturl.cc/CTd and http://biturl.cc/nxb

To me, neither one looks accurate. On the first one; the color is way off, and the insignia is gold instead of silver. On the second one; the color is still completely wrong, the insignia is again gold instead of silver, and the rank braids are far too small.

I know I'm being picky, but my thoughts on it is that if I'm going to spend money on something like this then I want it to look nice! I'm determined to find one.

Tips? Advice? Websites?
